What is Zapier Integration?
Zapier integration allows your form to integrate with 5,000+ other services like Trello, HubSpot, and Insightly. They also provide a way to integrate with remote MySQL databases.
Requirements
The Zapier integration feature requires a Professional level Formsite account and a Zapier account.
Zapier's free level is sufficient for most cases, but they require a paid account to use their advanced features or integrate with "premium" services.
Create a New Integration
On your form's "Integrations" page, click the integration for "Zapier". Then, note the values shown for your server prefix, user directory, and access token.
Log into your Zapier account and go to their "Connected Accounts" page. Next, Use the "Connect new account" option and choose "Formsite". Enter the requested authentication information and Zapier will confirm it's correct.
After you have a connected Formsite account, you can use it to create Zaps that connect your form to other services. From here, everything is set up within Zapier.
Note: Unlike our other integrations, Zapier integrates with your entire Formsite account rather than an individual form. If you have Sub-users or a case where you don't want all your forms accessible in Zapier, you may need to reconsider using this integration.
Collecting Zapier Results
When a form user completes your form, their result will be sent to Zapier. Zapier will then run any corresponding Zaps you've connected to your form.
When you edit a result in Formsite, it will be resent to Zapier. The way Zapier handles updates depends on the service your Zap is connected to.
Note: The integration can only send new results to Zapier, it can't retrieve or delete existing data. Changes you make in Zapier or its connected services won't affect your results in Formsite.
Tips and Troubleshooting
If, for some reason, a result wasn't sent to Zapier, or your form wasn't integrated yet when the result was collected, you can resubmit it to Zapier on your form's "Results" page, by editing and saving the result. If needed, the result's status can be manually changed to "complete" by clicking its status icon.
If you change your account's URL extension or access token, in Zapier you'll need to reconnect your Formsite account. If you change your form's directory, in Zapier you'll need to reconnect any Zaps it's used in.
For help creating Zaps, please contact Zapier. Your Zapier account is separate from Formsite and we cannot access or see your settings. For security reasons, please do not send us your Zapier login information.
