What is Inventory?
Inventory limits the number of times a choice for a multiple choice item can be chosen. After the inventory for a choice is used up, form users can't choose it anymore.
Creating Inventory
Create inventory by adding or editing multiple choice items and using their "Inventory" settings tab. For each choice, enter the amount of inventory to offer or leave a choice blank for no inventory limit. Setting a choice to "0" will give it 0 inventory, making it so 0 form users will be able to choose it.
Inventory can be combined with order form features like pricing and Text Field Quantity items. Place a Text Field Quantity item directly before a multiple choice item with inventory to multiply the amount of inventory the form user can take.
The number of inventory that form users have taken is stored in your form's results. If you delete a result, it will free up any inventory the result has taken.
Viewing Inventory
Depending on the type of form you're creating, you may think of inventory as becoming "empty" or "full". For example, if you are selling a product, you can imagine form users taking products from your supply until it's empty; or if you're reserving seats for a show, you can imagine form users joining your group until it's full. In Formsite, everything is presented assuming the "empty" scenario, but you can still use it either way.
For a complete overview of your form's inventory status, go to your form's "Results -> Analytics" page and then to the "Inventory Report" tab. Each form item with inventory will list its amount taken along with a percentage.
